The NSS unit of Maulana College organized an event called “Snehaaravam” as part of the Onam celebrations on September 13. The event was held at Pratheeksha Bhavan, Thavanur, and took place from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The celebration was shared with the residents of Pratheeksha Bhavan, a home for differently-abled individuals.Â
The program was inaugurated by Dhyan Chand, one of the residents, who sang a song to mark the beginning of the event. Despite the challenges they face due to their disabilities, the residents experienced immense joy in the warm presence of the NSS volunteers, who brought an atmosphere of love and care. The residents enthusiastically participated in the Onam celebrations, momentarily setting aside their limitations and adding beauty and meaning to the occasion.
The program was led by Program Officer Soumya K.P., along with other faculty members, including Shruthi V.S., Jeeny, and Shijin, who all contributed to making the event a memorable and joyful experience for everyone involved.
