The Clubs in the Moulana College of Arts, Science and Commerce are for providing an inclusive environment that is tolerance and harmony towards cultural, regional, linguistic, communal socioeconomic and other diversities. They are formed under the leadership of a teacher to involve all the students of the college gender equally and work towards a common cause. 24 such clubs are functioned in the year 2022-23. It helps the students to engage in the field of their choice during their college life, prove their talent and develop their personality. The college suggested such club activities for the mentoring system as working in small groups helps them to gain confidence and knowledge to work in other fields later.
At Moulana College, we are committed to providing a diverse range of co-curricular activities that enhance the overall educational experience, helping our students to discover and develop their unique talents and interests.
The Sports Club in the college is defined as a registered student organization that exists to promote and develop interest in a particular sport or physical activity. The club’s focus may be recreational, instructional, competitive, or a combination of these types of activities based on its constitution. Sports club provide an opportunity for students and youth to learn skills that will help them in college, as well as in their future careers and personal relationship. Through engagement in sports, they learn leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, responsibility, self-discipline, and a sense of initiative.
The college provided training in the following games. They are Badminton, Cricket, Handball, Football, Volleyball and Rugby. A special coach (Sneha) was also appointed for handball training for the girls. Alumni Ashwanath and Jamshad were assigned to coach rugby and cricket respectively.
Activities 2022-23
A Badminton competition was organized in the college compound for girls in association with the Women’s Development Cell. During the days of World Cup football, fans associations of different countries in the college have organized ‘Sevens’ football tournaments in the campus ground. In addition to this Mathrubhumi newspaper Company Ltd conducted a shootout contest in the college ground.

Moulana College of Arts, Science and Commerce started a gender club in association with kudumbasree (is the poverty eradication and women empowerment programme implemented by the State Poverty Eradication Mission (SPEM) of the Government of Kerala) with the intention of sensitizing the students about various issues related to gender. The club should also aim to create awareness of gender diversity and promote discussion of issues relating to gender identity and expression. It is a club worked under the guidance of the state government. The objectives of this club are:
To promote understanding and acceptance of individuals of all gender identities and expressions, and to combat discrimination and prejudice based on gender.
To provide students with a safe and supportive space to discuss issues related to gender, and to offer them resources and support to help them navigate these issues.
To educate students about the diversity of gender identities and expressions, and to provide them with accurate and inclusive information about gender.
To foster a sense of community and support among students who are interested in issues related to gender, and to provide a space for them to connect and learn from one another.
To encourage students to challenge gender stereotypes and norms, and to promote a more inclusive and equitable society.
To provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to advocate for gender equality and to support individuals who are marginalized based on their gender.

Nov 25 is the day of (World Day of Violence Against Women) protests across the world to create awareness about violence against women, under the supervision of Gender Club Coordinator, Mangalam Grama Panchayath, Tirur, in collaboration with Kudumbashree Mission Malappuram, the Gender Club of the Moulana College of Arts,Science & Commerce made a poster and spread the message on this day of protest. The students of the college expressed their stand by signing on the canvas. C.P. Kunjutty, President, Mangalam Grama Panchayath inaugurated the program. Dr. Abdul Jabbar Ahmed, ‘SAGI’ Project State Coordinator , delivered the keynote message. Dr. Satheesh. KP., Principal, Mohammad Rasi, Administrator, Sociology Department teachers Azmasherin, Shameed and Sirajuddeen extended greetings. Gender Club Panchayath Coordinator Shibila gave vote of thanks.
‘Conserve And Preserve’ is the motto of this club. Nature club activities are conservation programs composed of a group of people, who can spread conservation awareness in society. Through the Thalir nature club of Moulana College of Arts,Science & Commerce hopes to reach out to nature lovers and budding conservationists. The Thalir Nature Club which is aimed at creating general awareness among the students regarding the different environmental problems and for an appreciation of nature among students. The Thalir Nature Club successfully specializes in helping students to take the first step towards conservation of Nature .It can help reduce stress, improve concentration and increase time spent being physically active, encourage student to spend more time outside; and there are numerous opportunities to make that time spent in nature entertaining and educational. On the occasion of Environment Day, World Coconut Day, the Thalir Nature Club in the Moulana College of Arts,Science & Commerce has organized a food manufacturing and marketing fair and a nature study trip to Attappadi. On the Farmer’s Day on Chingam 1, the nearby residents also honoured the senior farmers who still continue to make a living from agriculture. Dr.Satheesh.K.P., Principal said that these farmers who work on the soil and live by seeing agriculture as a culture are the pride of the country. Senior farmers around the college like Kochi, Kurumba, Balan, Unnialan and Chakki were honoured. Ibrahim Kutty(member of panchayat)and Mohammad Rasi ( Administrator) distributed certificates to the farmers. Ayisha.M.K, (I.Q.A.C Coordinator), Husnul Jasim, (Nature Club Coordinator), Vasudevan(Office Accountant) and Gopinathan (Security Officer) extended their greetings. Students’ folk songs were also performed. Thalir Nature Club Coordinator Ashwini welcomed and Student Coordinator Muhammed Aslam extended a vote of thanks.

The news department has done excellent service last year by preparing reports of all events. The coordinator was Farhana, who was a journalism teacher in the Department of BA English Language &Literature. The task of this club is to provide information to the newsletter publishing department of the for preparation of the college’s mouthpiece.
The aim of the Health Club is to create awareness among students for maintenance of good physical and mental health. Students are sensitized regarding health, nutrition and maintenance of a healthy lifestyle.
Health Club is an association of students in college for taking care of everything that is necessary for keeping an individual healthy. Health club deals with activities for the students to possess good overall health which includes Mental health, Physical Health, Emotional Health, and Social health.

Programs for neighborhood community
The service-minded students and teachers of Chennara , Moulana College of Arts,Science & Commerce are amazed by the variety of co-curricular activities conducted daily. Now the college has become a remarkable place as the message of ‘Nadariyanam nadan chikilsa reethikal’ (each geographical area has its own unique knowledge about folk medical treatment) has been propagated more and more. The heavy responsibility of undertaking the health care of a village has been taken up by various service-minded teachers and student associations of the college. This is done by giving knowledge about various medical treatment systems to the locals and providing treatment facilities. In connection with this, under the leadership of Mangalam Kudumbashree Unit, (an organization for women folk) an exhibition of medicinal plants and distribution of Karkidaka Dasapushpakanji (Special pudding with rice and added natural medicines) by making curry made with 10 plant leaves and 30 types of Chammantis (specially grain and mixed food) was held. Manikandan (Teacher, VVUP School Mangalam) inaugurated the health club. Dr. Satheesh K.P. Principal presided over. Shahnas Binsi, teacher coordinator of the club welcomed. Saritha Teacher coordinator of Folklore Club gave a vote of thanks. In the meeting, P.P. Muhammad Yaseen (Manager), Dr. C. K. Akhtar (Trust Chairman), Administrator K. Muhammad Razi, Naushad. KP (PTA representative) Jarseek (Teacher), Soumya Teacher (NSS Program Officer), Aishwarya (Yoga Coordinator and Teacher), Vijitha (Mangalam Panchayat Kudumbashree CDS), Gopinath C.T.( Security Officer) spoke. Haridas kunnatheri (Folk healer) examined the patients in and out the campus. Health Club in collaboration with Mangalam Kudumbashree Unit introduced traditional treatment, acupuncture in and out the campus. Accu.Pr. Shuhaib Rialu examined the patients in and out the campus. Ayurvedic Dr. Thahira checked Anemia patients in the campus due to malnutrition. Then nutrition kits were distributed as part of the central government’s Potion Abhiyan program. Shahnaz Binsi was the teacher and the coordinator.

The Music Club of Moulana College of Arts, Science & Commerce aims to promote taste and talent amongst college students by organizing concerts, workshops and performances. It offers practice spaces and a wide array of instruments which are safely stored; an opportunity for students to come together and discuss music; and a chance to perform and showcase their talents at events throughout the year. Meetings are held once a week for each instrumental or vocal group. Singers and instrument players meet on different days of the week. Apart from these meetings, other meetings are scheduled based on the individual needs of students. Music Club in the Moulana College of Arts, Science & Commerce focuses on cultivation of musical talent around the college campus. Students get to participate and exposed to various musical activities throughout the academic years, develop and acquire rich array of musical skills Music Club in the college is a precious part of the diverse life on campus, where the musical talent grows and where the leadership and inclusiveness get literally practiced and encouraged through the practicing sessions, club meetings and concert performances.

This club consists of students who are interested in singing and playing musical instruments. They performed on Music Day. Such programs in which alumni also participate have helped to create a friendly atmosphere in the college. But this time the music club has not been able to show much activity as there are no singers who can lead. Saritha was the teacher coordinator.
ED Club is formed in the Moulana College of Arts,Science with a view to inculcate a proper entrepreneurial culture among the youth in a bid to tackle unemployment and to foster industrial growth. The Club equips the new generation youth with the skills, techniques, attitudes and confidence to act as the torch bearers of enterprise.
The main objectives of ED club are to sensitize on the existing industrial scenario of the state, to nurture the latent entrepreneurial talents, to develop the attitudes, values and skills of successful entrepreneurship. The Club facilitates students to access entrepreneurial resources, establish network with entrepreneurs, and share ideas. Thus, it is dedicated to furthering understanding about new and small business ventures.

Under the leadership of ED club in the Moulana College of Arts,Science & Commerce wished to conduct conduct Annual Events, Distinguished guest speaker’s series, organises Workshops to develop new ideas, develop them into projects and then to products, Networking with successful entrepreneurs, startup joiners and investors, Visits to industries, firms and on-site interactions with entrepreneurs, Attend off-campus workshops, fairs, meets etc. This time the club has conducted craft making classes, hand washing, cleaning solution making, selling etc. All the programs were beneficial, attractive and planned. Jasmine Migdad was the teacher coordinator.
The main aim of tourism club is to make the young people aware of tourism as a sustainable development. It is designed by the Kerala State Tourism Department. It also finds out the local tourist destinations to prepare new projects and tries to relate tourism with history and culture.
The Tourism club provides practical experience to theoretical components dealt in classroom. It enables students to prepare tour plans, financial plans, destination exploration and management. World tourism day is celebrated with food fests, cultural programs, kite festival and exhibitions. This club has taken up the task of cleaning and maintaining the estuary as a tourism center on the occasion of national and international tourism days and is successfully doing it. It is functioning under the guidelines of Kerala State Tourism Department.

The aim of the commerce club in the Moulana College of Arts,Science & Commerce to provide opportunities to the students to understand the current business environment. The efforts are made to develop a practical outlook in the students to view Commerce not as a discipline but as a scope and as a career option. Competitions to improve are not only in the communication skills but also personality and attitude of students. Activities of the Commerce Club are Business Quiz, Group Discussion, Power point presentations, Guest Lectures, Industrial Visit, and Debate etc.

The Drama Club of Moulana College of Arts, Science &Commerce encourages dramatic presentations by students in the form of skits, mime, plays etc. The club also hosts the Annual Inter-collegiate Drama competition. Eminent theatre personalities are invited to give lectures on the new trends in theatre. Theatre workshops are conducted in order to explore the possibilities for interdisciplinary linkages.

Book Review club in the Moulana College of Arts, Sceince & Commerce create space for children to talk, ask questions, and interact with peers. It fosters student’s ability to listen and react, create a sense of community around books. The purpose of this club is to bring a community together to learn about and discuss something that matters to them. The nature of this clubs program is follows. Invites small groups of three to six students to read, formulate opinions, and discuss stories from a wide array of genres. This gives students the chance to discover what types of books interest them most. Often, the thing that prevents students from really exploring literature is a misunderstanding of what is available to them. When students discover a genre that excites them, they are more inclined to spend time in those literary worlds.

Publication of research journals and organization of national seminars initiated by the college as part of an effort to impart research aptitude and knowledge about their own academic growth to the college teachers is not possible due to the above reasons. An educational seminar was held to honors senior teachers on Teachers’ Day on 5th September.

The teacher coordinators of this club are the Arabic department of the college. One boy and one girl from each class are appointed as student representatives.

Create and enhance a professional identity as prospective social workers .Social Service Club helps members to learn to respect people and how to fulfill their responsibilities to serve the community.

The activity of this club in the Moulana College of Arts, Sceince & Commerce is an opportunity given to such children by the college for social activities at their own risk. It includes various programs. Last year, various survey activities were engaged.
Psychology club in the Moulana College of Arts, Sceince & Commerce can become involved in many activities. Students can become involved with community service projects, such as volunteering at a mental health. While most of the time in psychology classes is spent reviewing theories and ideas in psychology, psychology clubs tend to focus on the practical application of these theories and ideas.

This team under the department of Psychology has been successful in conducting psychology related programs along with learning. This club is able to function well because all the teachers in the psychology department work with integrity.
The Purpose of Math Club in the Moulana College of Arts, Sceince & Commerce is to develop students’ level of Math skills and knowledge. This will be accomplished by using games, activities, and mock competitions. Students will cooperatively work to complete Logic and Math Puzzles.

Debate is an excellent way to show this commitment and passion because admissions officers know how much hard work goes into debate and how much it can prepare a student for college. Debate club teaches members how to research, articulate arguments, and clarify ideas. Subsequently, individuals actively engaging in debate club activities are often more prepared to speak clearly during interviews, demonstrate a professional presence, and clearly explain ideas and abilities.

On the occasion of the International Day (25/10/2022) for the Elimination of All Violence Against Women, an open debate on ‘Violence against Women’ was organized on 9/12/2022 by the Women and Child Welfare Committee, under the supervision of Tirur. Discussion Forum, Debate Forum, Gender Club, Women Development Cell, Sevana Club, NSS, Staff counsel of the Maulana College organized the open discussion. Issues such as domestic violence faced by women, sexual assaults on women in the workplace, equal pay and equal social status were discussed. Fifty students from 11 departments of the college and 10 teachers and non-teaching staff participated. Shauhar (Assistant Professor) and Hajara Teacher (Women Cell Teacher Coordinator) moderated the discussion. The discussion forum was coordinated by Khadeeja Shabana. The discussion was held on time and necessary arrangements were made. Dr. Satheesh. KP (Principal) prefaced the discussion by referring to the anti-women things, knowingly and unknowingly, and later correcting them based on his convictions, citing his own experiences. While living as a part of the popular culture, everyone has taken anti-feminist attitudes without knowing whether they are male or female. We are now in a male dominated society and therefore anti-feminism is happening in words, looks and actions. But it was mentioned in the introduction that we are aiming for a society that will correct it and move forward. The students commented on the codification of the discussion that we need such participatory, experiential discussion classes where they can express their own opinions and it would have been better if parents were also included.
