Every batch of new students in each department is assigned a tutor. The head of the department along with the class tutor interacts with the student and parents in order to identify areas of student potential as well as areas where remedial assistance is required. Class teacher’s session is arranged from 9 am to 9.30 am and 3.30 to 4.00 every day. This session is specifically for the students to interact with their respective class teachers or subject teachers regarding their curricular and co-curricular needs. Under the leadership of this team, there is a habit of organizing Crash Courses and Bridge courses on various subjects when children request them.

This year a program called Walk with a Student was started which is a program to find talent in various fields and provide encouragement and training to the students of the college. It was attended by first year students. 330 students took to the stage and showcased their hobbies, areas of interest and talents they have currently discovered themselves. Their performances were evaluated and recorded by specially appointed juries. In the following days, according to the interests and abilities of these students, the learning activities and programs of the college will be designed and implemented. Through this, the college has undertaken a great task to guide the youth during their college life. The mentoring program for first year students in the 2022 batch was inaugurated on 22nd December 2022. Mohammad Razi (College Administrator) inaugurated the programme. As of now it is called Walk with a Student. Ramlath P., Head of the Department of English was the program coordinator. Dr. Satheesh.K.P (Principal) in the opening session presided over. Ayisha. M.K. (IQAC Coordinator) welcomed. The Heads of the all-academic departments are also felicitated. The program was conceived in collaboration with the newly formed students’ union of the college. After the inauguration, Talent Day was held with the objective of checking the talent of the first year students and planning co-curricular programs for them. The first year students of 11 departments were interviewed individually. The talent of the student was evaluated by a 5-member jury consisting of each faculty member of the college. For this a questionnaire was created to conduct performance assessments. First, 25/60 students of the B.Com Corporation department of the college took to the stage. Encouraged by their mentor, Sabitha (teacher), the students came on stage one by one and introduced themselves and showcased their self-discovered talent. Singers, dancers, painters and a rare few showed their talents in other fields as per the questions of the judges. The program of the other departments was conducted from 9.30 am the next day.
The placement Team  in the college takes initiative to conduct yearly job fairs in the campus.
 Activities 2022-23
Students’ Initiative in Palliative (SIP) is an initiative by the young, vibrant student team of the college under a teacher coordinator. The unit will be instrumental in ensuring consistent involvement of students in spreading awareness on palliative care, hands-on patient care and mobilizing volunteers, material and financial resources. SIP will be engaged in organising affordable support program for the palliative care needy people in the locality. The campaign helps the students to identify a genuine opportunity to better their own lives and of the community as a whole. Participation of this team of student in palliative care is possible as Social participation towards a common public, which will help mold an integral character of student communities around the society.

The SIP Team of the college is working in collaboration with Karuna Palliative Care of Mangalam Panchayath. Awareness classes and children’s services are provided for Karuna Club members when requested. A special training program was conducted for the students belonging to this club on 13 – 12 – 2022. Anuf Paravannoor, SIP Motivation Trainer was the trainer and the students participated in the program held at Karuna Palliative Care Institute on 23 January 15 on the occasion of World Palliative Care Day.  Pamphlets were distributed. Students also participated in a workshop held at Karuna Institute on May 13. Shijila teacher was supervising these things.
A team headed by faculty members and students is working in the college to plan and implement social service programs prescribed for Calicut University degree students. In addition to the class teacher, one boy and one girl were included as representatives from each class.
