NSS Unit -275(University of Calicut)
The National Service Scheme unit of this College was started in 2021(SELF FUNDED NO.13) and functions under the Human Resource Development Ministry of India. The objective of NSS is to create social awareness among the students and the all round development of their personality. The N.S.S. Unit of this College conducts regular and special camps, awareness classes, demonstrations, personality development programs etc. for the volunteers. Blood donation to the needy and required patients is a laudable activity of the N.S.S. The benefits for the same as per the University rules regarding NSS volunteers will be given only to such students.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) was launched in 1969, the birth centenary year of the Father of Nation, by the Government of India. It is a voluntary association of young people, especially college students, to work for campus-community linkages. It aims at developing students’ personality through community service. Duties of NSS Volunteers are work for two continued years along with their studies, putting in 120 hours service each year and participating in one special camping Programme.
NSS helps the student to grow individually and also as a group. Volunteering for various tasks under NSS activities allows students to become confident, develop leadership skills, and learn about different people from different walks of life.
Activities 2022-23
Colleges usually appoint coaches to coach students in various games depending on their interest in the respective years. Generally, handball for girls and batminton for boys are given in rugby, volleyball, cricket, kabaddi, batminton and kho kho.

The College Discipline Committee is constituted for the maintenance of discipline in the college. The committee will ensure that students obey rules and remain orderly and peaceful in the pursuant of educational objectives/goals in the college community. The members of the Disciplinary Committee are elected every year in a meeting presided over by the Principal. Student representatives are also included in this.
The College Union is an elected body (Parliamentary mode) of the students of the College for the promotion of the practice of democracy and leadership qualities among the students of the College. The union functions under the guidance of a Staff Adviser appointed by the Principal. The students activities in the college is run by a student union elected by the university circular. The aim is to conduct activities conducive to the artistic, sports and creative growth of students.
Activities 2022-23
Cultural programs are organized in the college by the teachers, non-teaching staff and students of the college. These are National Day Celebrations, College Day Celebrations and Reception for Fresher’s.
