Department of B. com Travel and Tourism conducted a motivational class for the first year students of the department. The main purpose of the class is about how to achieve better grades in degree exam. Mr.Rebin (auditor of PROSPIRE learning institution) led the class very effectively. He provided valuable information about career and opportunities. There were 56 students and 3 teachers (Fida, Jini, Sajna) of the department attended in this session.
STUDY MATERIAL DISTRIBUTION(11/06/2024)
This report provides a complete review of the study material distribution process for tribal students in Wayanad, emphasizing the efforts made and results obtained to support their educational journey. Moulana College of Arts, Science, and Commerce NSS Unit (275) gave study material kits to tribal students in Wayanad. 50 kits were distributed to pupils in Wayanad’s three colonies: Pulpalli, Kumizhi, and Muthanga. 39 students and three teachers took part in the excursion, which departed campus at 5.30 a.m. on Thursday (13/6/24) and returned at 2 a.m. on Friday. The distribution of study materials by NSS volunteers in Wayanad was a noble attempt to reduce educational gaps among tribal pupils. It emphasized how crucial community-led programs are to protecting marginalized populations and promoting educational equity. To guarantee continued benefits for the tribal populations in the area, sustained interventions and unceasing support will be necessary going forward.
MEHANDI CONTEST(11/06/2024)
To celebrate the tradition of Mehndi art and promote cultural diversity within the college community. A Mehandi contest was organized on the occasion of Bakrid under the leadership of the student’s union of the college. To provide a platform for students to showcase their artistic talents and creativity in Mehndi design. To foster a sense of community and collaboration among students through participation in a cultural event. The competition won by Safna & Riswana (2nd Bcom finance), 2nd position Rinshida & Sreandha (2nd BA English) and 3rd position Ajisha & Shafna (3rd BA politics).the program jointly organized by various departments and the college student’s union. The program started at 2 pm and ended at 3.30 pm.
NEELAVELICHAM SCREENING EVENT
To honor the memory of Vaikom Muhammad Basheer, the Talir Nature Club of Moulana college has created a short film “Neelavelicham” and organized a screening event on 06/06/2024. This memorial event is dedicated to the legendary Malayalam writer, celebrating his life and contributions to literature. The event’s chief guest will be Kadheeja (One of the character of Pathummayude Aadu by Basheer). The screening commenced at 11 Am with a brief introduction by Aswini (Nature club coordinator )The audience engaged in post screening Q&A section. Overall, the film screening was a success, offering a thought-provoking and visually captivating experience that left a lasting impression on all who attended. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Binoy (Nature club student coordinator ) he expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, the faculty and the organizing committee for making the event a success.
DOCUMENTARY PRODUCTION(05/06/2024)
On the occasion of World Environment Day, a documentary production initiative was undertaken to raise awareness about environmental issues, promote sustainable practices, and inspire action towards conservation. The documentary was shot under the super vision of Talir Nature Club. The filming started under the leadership of Nature Club student Ukasha. Club co-ordinators Ramya, Jasim and Ashwini Journalism teacher Renuka led the way. The documentary produced for World Environment Day met its goals of raising awareness, encouraging action, and advocating for environmental sustainability. It has been an effective tool for education, empowerment, and mobilization for a more sustainable future.With sustained distribution and involvement, the documentary will continue to help address environmental issues and encourage good change around the world.
VEGETABLE GARDEN MAKING – CHENNARA ANGANWADI(5/6/2024)
A vegetable garden was established at the Anganwadi center as a response to the increased demand for food security and nutritional education. The goals, actions, results, and future plans associated with this project are described in this report. On World Environment Day, Moulana College NSS (unit no. 275) volunteers established a vegetable garden in the Anganwadi near campus. Various vegetable seeds were used for garnishing. The program was begun by an Anganwadi teacher who planted the first seedling. The program was led by NSS program officer Soumya KP volunteer secretaries Muhammed Shibil PC, Shahid, and others, and it was enthusiastically carried out by Anganwadi pupils and NSS volunteers. The Anganwadi’s vegetable garden program has been effective in raising awareness of nutrition, improving food security, and encouraging community involvement. It could become a template for similar projects in other Anganwadi centers and communities if it receives ongoing support and grows.
CLEANING PROGRAM- BALAKRISHNA MEMORIAL SPECIAL SCHOOL VETTOM(01/06/2024)
The school cleaning program is essential to preserving a clean and comfortable learning environment. Recently, the Balakrishnan Master Memorial Special School in Vettom underwent extensive cleaning. On Saturday, June 1, 2024, Moulana College NSS (Unit No. 275) volunteers cleaned the Vettom Balakrishnan Master Memorial Special School in preparation for the monsoon season. Together with other school employees, NSS volunteers enthusiastically carried out the cleaning under the direction of NSS Program Officer Soumya Kp and Volunteer Secretary Muhammad Shibil PC. At Balakrishna Memorial, the school cleanliness program is still successful in creating a safe and healthy atmosphere for all students.We want to significantly improve the cleanliness standards and general experience for students, staff, and visitors by quickly resolving issues and making changes.
